Abstract:

Excessive consumption, unsustainable consumption pattern, sustainable consumption concept and requirement of exposing the sustainable consumption pattern are being discussed in academic and policy area since Brundtland Report which highlighted the environmental implications of contemporary consumption pattern. Besides, it was mentioned the reducing material consumption level and transforming the behavior to more sustainable consumption behavior in order to save the planet In this study, sustainable consumption concept was broadly explained. At first, it was given place to a lot of definitions of sustainable consumption, then scope of sustainable consumption notion was mentioned and finally, given place to stakeholders and deficiencies of sustainable consumption
