This research was aimed to reveal the metaphors that gifted students had regarding the concept of schools and teachers. In the study, responses of 103 gifted students, attended Art and Science Center, to ‘School/Teacher is like … because …’ were analyzed. The analysis results showed that 48 metaphors regarding school were gathered under 5 different conceptual categories. Similarly, 51 metaphors regarding teacher were also classified 5 different conceptual categories. Most of the metaphors regarded to school were gathered under the “peaceful and protective environment” category; and most of the metaphors about teachers were under the “supportive and protecting person” category. According to Chi-Square analysis, differences were found in conceptual categories related to school for gifted boys and girls, but there were no differences about teacher conceptual categories in terms of gender. No significant difference in school and teacher was observed according to the attended school type. The findings showed that generally the perception of students towards to school and teachers are both positive
