This paper aims to quantify levels of intra-industry trade of the selected Transition Economies (Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan) and Turkey at the bilateral trade during the period 1995-2012. This paper uses UNCTAD database and calculates Grubel-Lloyd Index and Loertscher-Wolter Index for these countries using the data at one digit SITC. According to our results, intra-industry trade occurs more frequently in “Chemicals and related products, n.e.s.” sector, “Manufactured goods” sector, “Food and live animals” sector and “Mineral fuels, lubricants and related materials” sector. On the other hand, intra-industry trade occurs less freqeuntly in “Beverages and tobacco” sector, “Animal and vegetable oils, fats and waxes” sector and “Miscellaneous manufactured articles” sector.
