Bu araştırma Lim ve Chapman (2013) tarafından uyarlanan Matematiğe Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği-Kısa formunun geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmasının yapılması amaçlanmıştır. Ölçeğin geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışmaları kapsamında 310 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisinden toplanan verilere açımlayıcı faktör analizi, test-tekrar test güvenirlik çalışması ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular, Türkçe’ye uyarlanan ölçeğin özgün halinden farklı olarak üç faktörlü bir yapı oluşturduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna ek olarak, ölçekte yer alan iki maddenin madde toplam test korelasyon değerlerinin düşük olması sebebiyle çıkarılmıştır. Ölçeğin bütünü için Cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayısı .84 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Uyarlanan ölçekte yer alan alt faktörler değer, özgüven, mutluluk ve güdüleme için Cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayısı sırasıyla.91 ve .86 ve .82 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçları, uyarlanan ölçeğin açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda ortaya çıkan yapısının kabul edilebilir düzeyde uyum gösterdiğini ortaya koymuştur. Elde edilen sonuçlar, uyarlanan Matematiğe Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği-Kısa Formu İlkokulun Türk kültüründe kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir araç olduğunu göstermiştir.
