Abstract:

ÖZET Bu makale kalkınma iktisadı alanındaki çalışmalarıyla bilinen Hollis Chenery’nin (1918 – 1994) Turkish Investment and Economic Development (1953) başlığını taşıyan raporuna ilişkin kısa bir değerlendirme sunmaktadır. Sözü edilen rapor, Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk ekonomisinin yapısına dair önemli tespitlerde bulunuyor olmasına rağmen, dönemin Menderes hükümeti tarafından beğenilmemiş ve dağıtımı yasaklanmıştır. Although this report offers insightful arguments regading the Turkish economy in the Republican period, it was banned by the Menderes Cabinet and its distributed was halted.
