Abstract:

Writing works are of the valuable treasures a nation can possess with both its scientific and artistic values and the ability to carry its cultural heritage from the past to the present. Such an importance is the way to make the most of the wealth is without a doubt the way to provide them with the right identification and service. The help of detection files, cartridges or iron books in libraries for the recognition of works by the reader or researcher remains quite limited. This is why many of the libraries that have old and written works have been prepared and these publishing works are continued by peyderpey. It is extremely important to prepare the bibliographic corners of written works in the light of scientific procedures and in a functional skill. Catalogs prepared with specific, reasonable and generally accepted standards will both guide the researchers correctly and provide facilities in terms of time.                 In this study, it will first be discussed which qualities the writing catalogues should have in general, and then in this context it will be attempted to emphasize the importance of the subject by examining the example of the Ottoman Writing Catalogue of the Albanian State Archives.
