Abstract:

This study aims to test if there is any significant relationship between economic growth and tourism revenue, and to put forth its direction if it exists. For that purpose, the relationship between real GDP and real tourism revenue in Turkey for the period between 2003/Quarter 1 and 2013/Quarter 3 is tested by using Granger Causality test. According to test results, there is a bidirectional relationship – economic growth towards tourism revenues and tourism revenues towards economic growth
