In this study, the use of workbooks used in Secondary Science and Technology course is evaluated in light of teachers.Aim of this study is to contribute in making workbooks more effective, functional and efficient by introducing difficulties encountered in the implementation of workbooks This study was carried out in in different 34 secondary schools by 95 Science and Technology teachers who served in Kahramanmaraş in the 2013-2014 academic year. In this study descriptive screening method was used as the method, and “survey of teacher’s opinions” was used as the tool of collecting data. Descriptive statistics (f, %) were used for the analysis of quantitative data (f,%) and content analysis was used for the analysis of qualitative data. In this study it was determined that there are various problems associated with use of Science and Technology workbooks such as the purpose of the student workbook is not sufficiently absorbed by teachers, lack of readiness of students and course duration, lack of material used in the experiments. In this study it was also concluded that workbooks aren’t implemented in the guidance of the teacher's book prepared by the Ministry of National Education. It is poroposed that duration of Science and Technology course should be revised, there should be enough activities related to course outcomes and activities should be revised by considering class and student levels
