Abstract:

The orientation aims to guide students to cope with the difficulties and problems of conformity they encounter when starting to university. The sustainable orientation model is the continuity of the orientation training. It is only that it is not limited to newly begun students to the university and that it is applied whenever necessary for all classes. The school’s orientation to the student should be able to apply in a multi-facet, such as the teacher’s orientation to the student, the professional orientation that the student will do to the student and even the graduate student to the bachelor student. In this study, the importance of managers in the University of Sakarya to orientation education and the impact of orientation education on university students is aimed at the research and the need for a sustainable orientation model. In our evolving and changing era, it is impossible to deny the benefits of orientation. During the preparation of this study, taking into account the negative circumstances in which no orientation is present, it has been investigated whether this issue has been sufficiently addressed at the University of Sakarya. There were discussions with the administrative and academic staff at the University of Sakarya on this topic. As a result, the University of Sakarya is aware of the importance of orientation education in general and it is shown that studies are conducted in this direction.
