Abstract:

Universities where Research & Development is a major activity are viewed as not only an important source of new technology and university-industry collaborations but also entrepreneurial talent. To compete in today’s technology-intensive competitive environment, universities need to educate individuals who know their entrepreneurial potential and have a high level of awareness in entrepreneurship. This study aims to present an exemplary practice regarding teaching process of a course named Entrepreneurship, which has recently started to be given at the Faculty of Education. Participants of the study are senior students enrolled in the course that lasted for 14 weeks. In this course, various projects in technology and education fields were developed. In this study, sample practices that shape the course are presented and implications about teaching process, content, and achievements of this course are provided. Results indicate that one of the most important implications of the study is raising the students’ consciousness and awareness in entrepreneurship. The findings may pave the way for Entrepreneurship courses that will be given at educational institutions.
