Abstract enSince ancient times of human beings, hunting has been effective eneough to determine the general economic characteristics of communities.But, agricultural life andfollowing it, the hunting has progressed as an education far military and in today's meaning to be apparisea' of empty times. Allthough hunting is an activity which has been spread through the common people, present people in the government and military organization include Asian Turkish Society, Princess of Seljuk and Ottoman Empire has interested in hunting activity with important degree. Historical origin and cultural function of this concern has brought legal and military, environmental and ecologycial preparation which has been supported importence of hunting together. Hunting rules, fırmans Identification of special unit interested in hunting at Ottoman Empire" Palace and Jonissary Society, presentation of special hunting area, raisation of special kind of dogs (like Zağar, Sakson) and birds (like Sparrow, Falcon, Hawk) far hunting are examples of it. Before islam, Turkish belive had necessary customs and rules to have succes and productive hunting. This shows, how hunting has religious dimension in Turkish Culture. The aim of this study was to mention about hunting activity in Turkish Culture and, also to esamine, indicator of hunting activity customs, soldiership, religion, education, rules, fırmans, society, hunting areas and environmental preparations in the culture.
