Abstract enThe aim of this study is to determine whether or not the teachersâ demographic properties such as teachersâ gender, marital status, branches, ages, occupational seniorities, educational status, the types of schools where they work, the reason why they choose being a teacher lead to vary the organizational cynicism of the teachers. The study was conducted on 325 elementary and secondary school teachers working in Antalya city center in 2007-2008 academic year. In this research, the organizational cynicism scale which was developed by Güzeller and Kalagan (2008) is used. In this data analysis T â" test, simple variance analysis, Kruskal Wallis test, Mann Whitney U â" test is used. According to the diagnosis of the research; a meaningful relation between the teachersâ organizational cynicism level and with their branches, occupational seniorities, educational status, the type of school where they work, the reason why they choose being a teacher is found.
