Abstract:

Along with globalization, many changes and transformations have taken place, and central and local governments have been affected by this change and transformation. While there is a weakening in the structures of the central administrations, efficiency of local administrations seems to have increased as a result of these changes and transformations. Regionalization policies that have accelerated in the new world order along with the globalization and localization process have also provided improvement of the new managerial understanding and development models among the countries. In this study, it is aimed to examine the emergence and effectiveness of Regional Development Agencies which become the popular actor of the localization process coming together with the globalization process.
