Abstract:

Türklerin kadim yurdu olan Doğu Türkistan, Türk edebiyatının geliştiği önemli merkezler arasındadır. Doğu Türkistan’da 18. yüzyılda yetişmiş şairler klasik Türk edebiyatı bağlamında önemli eserler vücuda getirmiştir. Bu sahada yetişmiş olan önemli divan şairlerinden biri de Ömer Karim Nevbetî’dir. Şair divan şiiri geleneği içerisinde aşk, sevgili ve tasavvufu konu alan çeşitli nazım şekillerinde şiirler kaleme almıştır. Bu çalışmada, Ömer Karim Nevbetî’nin hayatı ve bilinen tek eseri olan divanı üzerinde durularak şiirlerinden örnekler verilecektir.
