Ben-Gurion’e göre Yahudiler çıkarlarını en iyi şekilde ancak Türk müesseselerinde etkin bir dil, engin bir kültür, hukukî ve siyasî bir alt yapıya sahip oldukları takdirde gerektiği gibi savunabilecek ve koruyabileceklerdir. İstanbul Üniversitesi’nde Hukuk okumasının sebebi bu amaç içindir. Filistin’de otonom bir Yahudi toplumu için Yahudi nüfus artışı sağlanmalı böylece ekonomik, idarî ve soysal alanlarda nüfuzları artırılmalıdır. Ben-Gurion göçmen Yahudilerin Osmanlı vatandaşlığına geçmelerini desteklemekte ve siyasî amaçları için gerekli görmektedir. I. Dünya savaşı süresince Osmanlının yanında ya da karşısında olma fikrinde gelişmelere göre değişiklikler yaşamıştır. Savaşın başında Almanya’yı desteklerken sonuna doğru İngiltere taraftarı olabilmiştir. İngiltere’nin mandaterliği süresince de İngiliz politikalarıyla mücadele etmiştir. Bu makale David Ben-Gurion’un İsrail Devleti’nin kurulmasından önce Filistin’in nasıl Yahudi yurdu yapılmasıyla ilgili görüş ve fikirlerini tartışmaktadır.

Ben Gurion argued that legal and official status can be paved the way to the Jewish autonomy in Palestine and its area. This can be achieved by the increase of Jewish population which would improve to defend the rights and legal status of Jewish desires within the Ottoman State. He believed that the Jewish interests only be saved and protected within the Turkish institutions by skilled and knowledgeable Jews who are competent of Turkish language, culture, law and politics. Ben Gurion studied law in Istanbul University in order to materialize what he was arguing and defending for the Jewish nation.Ben Gurion encouraged and regarded absolutely necessary to optain Osmanlı passports for those foreign Jewish nationals who migrated to Palestine. He changed his support of Osmanlıs’ war effort depending on changing circumstances during the WWI. At the beginning of the War he was supporting Germany and the Ottoman State whereas Great Britain and its allies towards the end.The paper concentrated on David Ben-Gurion’s ideas and arguments on how to Jewishization of Palestine before the proclamation of the Israeli State.
