Abstract:

This article aims to analyze the Palestine policy of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Government established in Ankara after the occupation of Istanbul by the Allied Powers officialy in light of the Turkish archive documents. These archive documents show that the Turks-both Istanbul and Ankara governments-defended the self-determination right of the Palestinian Arabs.     However, Arabs were anxious about the Jewish connection with Turks -in Ankara and Istanbul, therefore they visited Istanbul and Ankara; but they were content having seen that Turk's opinion towards self-determination of Arabs have not changed. Turks continued their verbal and rhetorical support to the Arabs in the Palestinian issue and hadined their support until the end of the Second World War without interfering with the inter-Arabs the political issues. This pleased the Palestinian Arabs too much
