The aim of the study is to reveal preservice teachers’ perceptions about science and technology by using metaphors. The sample consists of 286 preservice teachers enrolled at Elementary Science Teaching and Primary Teaching programs in Faculty of Education. The results showed that the preservice teachers expressed 127 valid metaphors about science classified under nine categories and 162 valid metaphors about technology classified under nine categories. The most frequently repeated metaphors related to science expressed by preservice teachers are “Tree, Life, Sun, Universe and Ocean”. The most frequently repeated technology metaphors are “People, Life, Development, Child, Moon and Space”. The results indicated that the metaphors related to the concept of science are categorized in "useful science" category and the metaphors related to technology are gathered in the category of "developing and advancing technology". It has also been found that preservice teachers' views about science and technology concepts focused on positive categories.
