Abstract:

This study addresses the origins of acupuncture, aposteriori, dozer and fagot words. For this first, the data in various Turkish dictionaries in relation to these words were looked at, compared with those written about their origins. The origins and meanings of these words in different Turkish dictionaries were then written, and the meanings in the necessary foreign dictionaries were also studied. In addition, the words in question are also included in the source language expression information compared to the form in Turkish. In the dictionaries there is no historical information. Thus, thanks to historical, meaning and sound data in Turkish and foreign sources, the aim is to correctly determine which languages of the acupuncture, aposteriori, dozer and fagot words are quoted to Turkish. In terms of the words acupuncture, aposteriori, dozer and fagot included in the study, some Turkish dictionaries included different sources of information, while some dictionaries reached a view. The conclusion is that our opinion on the origins coincides with some dictionaries while not with some other dictionaries. The reasons for this have been explained based on historical, sound scientific and meaning scientific data.
