Abstract:

Çalışma yaşamının önemli sorunlarından biri olan ayrımcılığa özellikle kadınlar erkeklere nazaran daha fazla maruz kalmaktadırlar. Kadının anne olarak çalışma yaşamında yer almasıyla yaşadığı sorunlar artmaktadır. Kadının anne ya da hamile olma gibi cinsiyetine özgü bir özelliğinden dolayı çeşitli kariyer olanaklarından yoksun bırakılması, düşük performans beklentisiyle düşük ücret düzeyine sahip işlerde çalıştırılmaları, işe alımlarda evli ve bekâr erkekler ile bekâr kadınlara kıyasla daha az tercih edilmeleri, yeterlilik açısından daha düşük düzeyde değerlendirilmeleri çalışan annelere yönelik ayrımcılık örneklerindendir. Bu çalışmada ilk etapta ayrımcılık ve çalışan anne kavr amı, çalışan annenin uğramış olduğu ayrımcılığın genel ayrımcılık içindeki yeri ve annelerin çalışma yaşamında karşılaşmış olduğu ayrımcılık biçimleri kısaca incelenecektir. Ardından Isparta ilinde faaliyet gösteren özel bir bankanın 2 farklı şubesinde çalışan annelerin, çalışan anne olgusu, çalışan annelerin ayrımcılık algıları ve bu ayrımcılığa tepkileri gerçekleştirilen görüşmeler kapsamında tartışılacaktır.

Abstract:

Discrimination, which is one of the major problems of work life, is more exposed to women than men. The problem is increasing with the participation of a woman in the work life as a mother. The absence of various career opportunities for a woman due to her gender-specific characteristics, such as being a mother or a pregnant woman, the employment in jobs with low wage levels with low performance expectations, the less preference in employment compared to married and single men and single women, and the less qualifying assessment of the working mothers are among examples of discrimination. In this study, in the first phase, discrimination and the working mother’s concept will be briefly examined, the place of discrimination in the general discrimination that the working mother has suffered and the forms of discrimination that the mother has suffered in the working life. Then the two different branches of a private bank operating in the province of Isparta will be discussed in the framework of the discussions that are carried out on the facts of the working mothers, the facts of the working mothers, the perceptions of discrimination of the working mothers and the reactions to this discrimination.

On of the important problems of working life of disrimination, especially woman, more than men are excused. The problems that faced in working life are increasing with to be a mother. Deprivation of the various career opportunities of woman due to a specific feature to gender such as being a mother or pregnant, to be employed with low wage levels and lower performance expectations, less preferred in recruitment compared to single and married men and single women are some examples of the discrimination against working mothers. In this study first of all, the concept of discrimination and working mother, forms of disrimination, place in the general disrimination and of disrimination that working mothers have suffered will be evauated and forms of disrimination will bw mentioned that faced by mothers in working life. Afterwards, a bank employee working mothers cases of mothers in two different branche operating in Isparta province, it will be discussed in the negotiations perception of disrimination and performs the response two this discrimination.
