Abstract:

In the framework of the neoliberal policies that began to be implemented throughout the world since 1980, flexibility, irregularity, and atypical forms of employment have begun to dominate in the labour markets, and the concept of employment security, which is one of the important tools of the social state understanding, has begun to dissolve. In this context, we see the increased dependence on the market in the re-production of the labour force, which Esping-Anderson defined as "decommodification" (decommodification), thus deprived of mechanisms that allow the labour force to continue its life passively, although in cases such as unemployment, illness and disability. Unemployment insurance, unemployment compensation, etc. We see a transition from passive employment policies to active employment policies aimed at increasing labour integration into the market.   This workforce shows how this neoliberal transformation in the labour market affects employment policies and how the transition from passive employment policies to active employment policies in this context transforms employment security into employment security, one of the important tools of the prosperity state period. This discussion will be conducted by Bob Jessop’s conceptualization and will look at how the workforce markets in developed capitalist countries are transformed from the sense of well-being (welfare) to the sense of workfare (workfare) along with the neoliberal policies, this transformation will be focused especially on the turmoil in the Turkish labour market.
