Abstract:

Abstract The purpose of this study is to determine the opinions of the elderly about euthanasia. The study was conducted in March-May 2016. The research group consists of 133 elderly people living in Ankara and Istanbul. In order to identify the elderly who participated in the study in terms of their socio-demographic characteristics, the questionnaire form and the opinions of the elderly about euthanasia were transferred to the SPSS package program and the results were analyzed. According to the results of the research, it was determined that the elderly showed positive attitudes towards euthanasia as their educational status and physical pain increased.
