Sürdürülebilir turizm, destinasyonların uzun vadede rekabet avantajı kazanmasında önemli bir etken olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, yerel halkın sürdürülebilir turizmin gelişimine yönelik tutumlarını belirlemektir. Çalışmada ayrıca katılımcıların demografik özelliklerine göre sürdürülebilir turizmin boyutlarına bakış açılarında farklılık olup olmadığı incelenmiştir. Bu kapsamda önemli bir turizm destinasyonu olan Düzce ili Akçakoca ilçesinde yaşayan katılımcılar üzerinde bir araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada anket formu aracılığı ile 382 katılımcıdan veriler elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler kullanılarak yapılan faktör analizi sonucunda, sürdürülebilir turizmin gelişimine yönelik yerel halkın tutumlarına ilişkin altı boyut tespit edilmiştir. Bu boyutlar, çevresel sürdürülebilirlik, planlama, halkın turizme katılımı, ekonomik fayda, algılanan maliyet ve ziyaretçi memnuniyeti şeklinde kategorize edilmiştir. Öte yandan, katılımcıların demografik özellikleri ile sürdürülebilir turizmin gelişimine yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu belirlenmiştir.
the aim of this study is to determine the attitudes to the development of local people sustainable tourism in the study that sustainable tourism is a significant factor in gaining competitive advantage in the long-term of sustainable tourism destinations. in this context, the participants are examined whether there are differences in the perspectives of sustainable tourism according to demographic properties, in this context, a research on the participants who live in the flat-based island of adankoca district with a significant tourism destination has been determined by the environmental attitudes of the local people in the development of sustainable tourism as a result of the factors analysis conducted by using the data obtained from 382 participants through the questionnaire form of sustainable tourism, which is significantly perceived by the sustainable tourism relations between these sustainable tourism and the sustainable tourism values of sustainable tourism and sustainable tourism in terms of sustainable tourism
