Abstract:

As the demand for health care increases every day, the number of health care providers also increases in this direction. A newly established or further-growing health institution must provide effective performance management so that it can reach the desired level. The results of the activities carried out in the health institutions in accordance with the objectives and objectives established are determined, measured, compared with the plans carried out, the assessment of the results, the assessment of performance is of great importance because it is a source in the direction of decision making for the future. Performance management should be at the level that employees can perceive in order to be effectively implemented in the institution and everyone should be involved. There is no standard performance assessment system and method due to the type of service in health institutions. According to the quality of the service provided by the health institution, it is necessary to choose the performance assessment method. In this study, a summary of performance assessment methods is presented along with the work in literature.
