Abstract:

In this study, the existence of a negative relationship between the open employment rate and the unemployment rate and the combination effectiveness of the labour market, the validity of the Beveridge curve for Turkey, was studied empirically with the data of the 2005Q1-2017.Q4 period. In the Applied Analysis, Pesaran vd to investigate the combination relationship between open employment rate and unemployment rate. The test was developed by the Border (2001). After the integration analysis, the ARDL model was used to identify the long-term and short-term effects between the open employment rate and the unemployment rate. Finally, Hatemi-J (2012) has studied the existence of the non-linear relationship between the asymmetric cause test and the open employment rate and the unemployment rate. According to the results of the border test, there is a matching relationship between the series. According to the ARDL model results, open jobs have a long-term negative impact on unemployment and in the short term there is no statistically meaningful relationship between series. Hatemi-J (2012) Asymmetric Cause Test showed that there was a one-way causal relationship from negative (positive) open job shocks to positive (negative) unemployment shocks.
