Bu çalışmanın amacı Hacı Bedir Ağa’nın Millî Mücadele’de ki rolünü ve TBMM’deki faaliyetlerini ortaya koymaktır. Kâhta merkez olmak üzere Adıyaman bölgesinde geniş arazilere ve büyük bir aşirete sahip olan Hacı Bedir Ağa Millî Mücadeleyi ve Mustafa Kemal Paşa’yı desteklemiştir. Sivas Kongresi’ni engellemeye çalışan Ali Galip ve arkadaşlarına engel olan Hacı Bedir Ağa Antep ve Urfa savunmalarına büyük katkı sağlamıştır. Bu mücadelelere bizzat katılan Hacı Bedir Ağa Antep savunmasında yaralanmıştır. Bu başarılarından dolayı İstiklal Madalyası alan Hacı Bedir Ağa üç dönem üst üste milletvekilliği yapmıştır. TBMM’nin birinci ve ikinci dönemlerinde Malatya milletvekilliği yapmıştır. TBMM’nin üçüncü döneminde ise Kars milletvekilliği yapmıştır. Meclis çalışmalarında da Mustafa Kemal Paşa’yı destekleyen Hacı Bedir Ağa 1927’de Tarsus’ta ölmüştür.
The aim of this study is to reveal the role of GNAT in the National Struggle and his activities in the GNAT. Ağa, who had large lands and a large tribe in the Namıyaman region, supported the National Struggle and Mustafa Kemal Pasha. He who stopped Ali Galip and his friends who tried to prevent Sivas Congress, made a great contribution to Antep and Urfa defense. Who personally participated in these struggles, was injured in Antep defense. He, who received the Medal of Independence for his achievements, served as a deputy for three consecutive terms. He served as deputy of Malatya in the first and second periods of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. In the third period of Parliament, he was the representative of Kars. In 1927, Hacı Bedir Ağa, who supported Mustafa Kemal Pasha in the parliamentary work, died in Tarsus.
