Abstract:

In this study the aim is to perform a comparative analysis of RP and FP which are two National Opinion parties in the eve of and after February 28th process. For this purpose initially the historical adventure of National Opinion starting from National Order Party (MNP) until RP is handled and then RP and FP were examined from various aspects starting from establishment until closure and a comparative historical analysis of two national opinion parties was performed. At the end of study it was determined that both parties show similarities in terms of sociological origins, class representation, party typologies, state services, their approach towards public services,their relation with army and judgement, their initiation and finalization and their approaches towards basic arguments of conservative thought such as family. However it was concluded that they have differences such as economy and foreign policy understanding, election performances, statements, public gender policies, their look towards the civilian community, tendency and mobilization in National Opinion base during and after their closure
