So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

The study investigated whether there was a relationship between marital adjustment and humor styles of married people. By this purpose, 170 married people were reached and applied Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS) and Humor Styles Questionnaire (HSQ). For this relationship was investigated, firstly, Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was computed seperately for both sex. Finally, the same process was repeated for all participants. In result of these analysis, for males there was a positive and significant relationship (r = 0.40, p<.01) between self-enhancement humor subscales of humor styles and dyadic cohesion subscales of Dyadic Adjustment Scales. For females, there was a relationship between self-enhancement humor, selfdefeating humor subscales of humor styles and dyadic cohesion, dyadic consensus, dyadic satisfaction and affectional expression subscales of Dyadic Adjustment Scales. For all participants, there were correlation scores between marital adjustment and humor styles alike females’ scores. In conclusion, females perceived humor as an important factor in their marriage whereas males didn’t perceive humor as an important factor in their marriage.
