Ouml;z Bu ccedil;alışmada Gesi Mezarlığında yer alan Osmanlı Douml;nemine ait 47 mezar ve mezartaşları sanat tarihi accedil;ısından belgelenerek değerlendirilmiştir. Bu ouml;rnekler fotoğraflanarak kitabeleri okunmuş, mezartaşlarının başlık tipleri ve bezeme ouml;zellikleri ele alınarak Tuuml;rk mezar taşı sanatı iccedil;erisindeki yerleri belirlenmeye ccedil;alışılmıştır. Bu mezartaşları XVIII. yy., XIX yy. ve XX. yy a tarihlenir. Osmanlı mezar taşları estetik gouml;ruuml;nuuml;mleri ile meslekler, unvanlar ve inanışlarla ilgili ouml;nemli bilgiler vermektedir. Bu mezarlıktaki şahidelerin, mezar taşı yapma geleneğini devam ettiren sade ouml;rnekler olduğu gouml;ruuml;lmuuml;ştuuml;r. ABSTRACT This study analyzes the 47 graves and gravestones of the at Cemetery of Gesi which belong to the Ottoman period, this analysis is made from the viewpoint of art history. This gravestones tries to identify the place of these elements in the Turkish gravestones by producing photographic documentation and by discussing the gravestone typologies and their ornamental features. The gravestones dates to the XVIII th, XIX th, and XX th. centuries. With the aesthetic appearance of Ottoman gravestones provides important information that occupations, titles, and about beliefs. Gravestones of this cemetery to be seen simply examples that perpetuates the tradition of making gravestone. Key Words: Cemetery, gravestone, tomb, inscription, calligraphy, art.
