Bir milletin kültürü, yaşayış biçimi, değer yargıları ve inancı ile ilgili pek çok hususu üzerinde taşıyan deyimler, bir dil hazinesidir. Mecazi ve çok anlamlı bir yapı sergileyen bu söz öbekleri, eskiden günümüze kadar pek çok eserde anlatımı zengin kılmak için tercih edilmiştir. Deyimler konusu ile ilgili pek çok sınıflandırma (alfabetik, yapısal vb.) söz konusudur. Bu sınıflandırmalardan biri de kavramsal tasniftir. Kavramsal tasnif sayesinde deyimlerin esere katmış olduğu anlam zenginliği daha net çizgilerle ortaya konulur. Bu çalışmada Çağatay Türkçesi dönemine ait olan Mevlȃna Sekkȃkî Divanı’nda geçen 138 deyim tespit edilmiş ve bu deyimler 28 ana başlık etrafında kavramsal olarak tasnif edilmeye çalışılmıştır.
