Abstract:

The foundations of musealism, which, by building links between the past and the future, constitutes one of the creators of society, enables cultural values to be lived and transmitted to future generations, are based on very early periods. By the 21st century, the museums entered the process of modernization and the new concept of museumism was adopted throughout the world. During this process, the museums that develop and diversify their social functions have begun to demonstrate a dynamic attitude by getting rid of the standing and classic museum understanding. This new museum concept, which has influenced our country, has brought together the diversity of the museum concept. In this study, Borusan Contemporary’s museum activities, collection and exhibition, which serves with the concept of “office museum” with the ability to be the first and the only one in our country, will be examined problematically while used as a week-end office building as a museum in the weekend.
