Abstract:

This study aims to study the relationship between the attitudes of students studying at the Ataturk University to the sport and the satisfaction of life. The research technique is made up of three sections. In the first part, the participants were asked the demographic characteristics of the questions; in the second part, the sport orientation attitude scale developed by Shentürk (2014) and in the third part, the Diener and Ark (1985) developed by Köker and Yetim (1991) adapted to Turkish Life Doyum scale used. Data collection tools 2018-2019 educational year was applied to a total of 270 students, including 167 men, 103 women, who studied at the Atatürk University. In terms of age change, the attitudes of individuals towards sport (.007) are in favour of young individuals aged 18-23 and in terms of life satisfaction (p=.001) are determined that individuals aged 23-33 have a higher life satisfaction. According to the results of the coleration analysis, a low-level positive and meaningful relationship between the attitude towards sport and the life satisfaction (r=273) was observed.
