Abstract:

The performance analysis of the sectors is of great importance to make forecasts for the future. This analysis contains a large number of criteria with different scales and characteristics and is performed using multiple criteria decision making methods instead of classic methods. In the study, the performance measurement of companies operating in the automotive industry, listed in the Fortune 500 list and ranked the top 10 in terms of net sales in 2017. The SWARA method was preferred to determine the criteria weights used in this analysis, and based on these criteria weights, the COPRAS method was achieved to the performance ranking of companies. The application results in an important assessment criterion of net sales, the high-performance company is Ford Automotive Industry A.S. It has been identified. The work is hoped to be a guide for business stakeholders in terms of interpretation of the performance of the automotive industry and making good decisions.
