Sahip olduğu tasarım, desen ve renklerin estetik değeri nedeniyle bir sanat eseri sayılan halı, ayrıca birçok sanat eserinin kompozisyonunda da yer almıştır. Resim ve minyatür gibi görsel sanatların kompozisyonunu tamamlamanın yanı sıra klasik Türk şiirinde de tabiat tasviri için önemli bir teşbih unsuru olmuştur. Klasik Türk şiirinin halı sanatı ile ilişkisi sadece metin tanıklığı düzleminde gelişmemiştir bu sanatın formuna dair birçok niteliğin de şiirde mevcut olduğu görülür. Çalışmada halının sanat değeri ortaya konulmaya çalışıldıktan sonra onun Türk kültüründeki yaygınlığı ve diğer kültürlere etkisi üzerinde duruldu. Estetik bir unsur olarak halının, Türk kültüründe kazandığı özgün tasarım onu dünyada görsel sanatların önemli bir parçası kılmıştır. Bunlar resim sanatıyla örneklendikten sonra klasik Türk şiirinde halının bir imaj olarak karşılık bulduğu zeminlere odaklanılmıştır. Halının bu şiir evreninde kazandığı sembolik anlamların üzerinde durmanın yanı sıra halı ve şiir sanatlarının tasvir anlayışlarındaki ortaklıklara da dikkat çekilmiştir. Şairlerin halı ile oluşan güzelliği önemseyip ondaki estetik niteliklerle önce tabiatı eşleştirdikleri, sonrasında bütün bunları şiirsel imajlara büründürdükleri söylenebilir.
The carpet, which is considered an artwork due to the aesthetic value of the design, patterns and colors it possesses, has also been included in the composition of many artworks. In addition to the completion of the composition of visual arts such as painting and miniature, it has also been an important incentive element for the painting of nature in the classical Turkish poetry. The relationship of the classical Turkish poetry with the carpet art has not only developed in the text’s testimony level; many characteristics of the form of this art appear to be present in the poetry. The study, after trying to reveal the art value of the carpet, focused on its prevalence in the Turkish culture and its influence on other cultures. As an aesthetic element, the original design of the carpet in the Turkish culture has made it an important part of the visual arts in the world. These are focused on the soils in the classical Turkish poetry, after being illustrated with painting art, where the carpet is reflected as an image. In addition to standing on the symbolic meanings that the carpet has gained in this poetic universe, the partnerships in the illustrative concepts of the carpet and poetic arts have also been attracted. Poets can say that they care about the beauty of the carpet and first match the nature with the aesthetic qualities in it, and then all of it in poetic images.
