Abstract:

Examination is an obligatory assessment system in every field of education. This obligation causes students to worry about the exam by creating pressure. Anxiety may have a negative impact on student academic achievements. In this study, the Gazi Anadolu, Trabzon Fen, Atatürk Professional and Technical Anadolu and Mahmut Celaleddin Ökten Anadolu Imam Hatip High School's last class students, based on their school type, academic success and socio-demographic characteristics, are aimed at examining the level of exam concerns. 333 students participated in the study. To evaluate students' concerns, the "Exam Anxiety Inventory" and "Personal Information Form" were used. The SPSS-23 program was used in the analysis. The tests used are identifying statistics, Mann-Whitney U and Ki-Kare tests. According to the findings of the study; the scores of the students of the high school of science in the sensitivity and the total anxiety size are higher than the scores of the students of the high school of Anatolia in the establishment size. According to the study, girls and girls who participated in the study were boys; students with two brothers and sisters were less/more brothers; students who assessed school success as “low” were higher than students who assessed school success as “mediate”/ “high”. The findings were discussed on the basis of the relevant literature and were presented in recommendations for future studies.
