Abstract:

The purpose of the study is to study the relationship between the emotional work behaviors of teachers in primary education and the levels of life satisfaction according to demographic variables and to determine the relationship between emotional work and life satisfaction. The research was conducted in the 2015-2016 educational year with teachers working in primary education institutions located within the province of Çanakkale and the districts. As a data collection tool, the "sensitive work scale" and the "life satisfaction scale" were used. The data was analyzed with the IBM SPSS 21 package program. The research finds that teachers’ emotional work behavior and life satisfaction are at a medium level. Men’s teachers have more superficial roles than women’s teachers. Teachers with 21 years of age and older have more emotional work behavior than teachers with 16-20 years of age. 16-20 years old teachers have less life-satisfaction perception than teachers in other senior groups. Teachers with high and medium income levels have a higher perception of life satisfaction than teachers with low income levels.
