Abstract:

This study was aimed at identifying and removing the error of the concept of "heat and temperature" in the student's teaching of heat and temperature, heat and heat on substances in the science course of high school 5th grade students. For this purpose, a school is selected for Mersin. For the purpose of collecting data, the heat and temperature concept test, the meaning resolution table and the application of the conversation were carried out. With the application of the 5E teaching model in the experiment and control group on the subject of 'Heat and Temperature', conceptual errors have been detected and the course has been applied. In the experimental group, the lessons were processed and taboo studies were conducted according to 5E. The study is a semi-experimental study. The study was also analyzed by comparing the data obtained by the Heat and Temperature Concept Test, the pre- and post-application frequency (f) and percentage values. The Pearson Moment's Half-Confidence ratio of the Heat and Temperature Concept Test used was 0.78 and the reliability ratio in the data collection tool was calculated as 0.88. The discovery and discussion are also discussed and discussed. The result of the study is that in the experimental group that students have meaningful learning occurred and alternative concepts were reduced. The taboo study has been found to motivate the student to learn.
