Y kuşağı kendinden önce gelen diğer kuşaklardan farklılaşarak, internet ve teknolojik gelişim öncesini ve sonrası bilen, girişimciliğe en yatkın olan bir kuşaktır. Bu bağlamda da bu araştırmanın amacı, Selçuk Üniversitesi iktisadi ve idari bilimler fakültesinde öğrenim gören işletme öğrencilerinin girişimci kişilik özelliklerinin girişimcilik eğilimleri üzerinde etki edip etmediğini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın evrenini Selçuk Üniversitesi iktisadi ve idari bilimler fakültesinde işletme bölümünde öğrenim gören örgün ve ikinci öğretim öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kolayda anket uygulaması kullanılmış ve ankete 69’u kadın, 64’u erkek olmak üzere toplam da 133 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırma için hazırlanan hipotezler SPSS 22 istatistik paket programı ile test edilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular betimsel istatistikler, korelasyon analizi ve regresyon analizleri ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda ise, öğrencilerin girişimci kişilik özellikleri alt boyutlarının risk alma, başarmak ihtiyacı ve belirsizliğe karşı toleransın girişimcilik eğilimleri üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu tespit edilirken, yenilik ve kontrol odağı alt boyutlarının istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkisinin bulunmadığı tespit edilmiştir.
Generation Y is a generation that differs from other generations that came before it, knows before and after the Internet and technological development, and is most prone to entrepreneurship. In this context, the aim of this research is to reveal whether the entrepreneurial personality traits of business students studying at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Selcuk University affect their entrepreneurial tendencies. The universe of the research consists of formal and secondary education students studying in the department of business administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Selçuk University. A convenient survey application was used in the research and a total of 133 students, 69 female and 64 male, participated in the survey. The hypotheses prepared for the research were tested and interpreted with the SPSS 22 statistical package program. The obtained findings were carried out with descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and regression analysis. As a result of the research, it was determined that the sub-dimensions of the entrepreneurial personality traits of the students had a statistically significant effect on the entrepreneurial tendency, the need to take risks, the need to succeed, and the tolerance for uncertainty. İt was found that there was no statistically significant effect of innovation and locus of control sub-dimensions.
