Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi Lisansüstü Öğrencilerinin Bilimsel Etiğe İlişkin Görüşleri

Abstract:

Araştırmanın amacı Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimi lisansüstü öğrencilerinin bilimsel etiğe ilişkin görüşlerini belirlemektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden biri olan olgubilim desenine uygun olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar dönemi Fırat Üniversitesi Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Sosyal Bilgiler Eğitimi Bilim Dalında öğrenim gören 25 lisansüstü öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubu amaçsal örnekleme yöntemlerinden biri olan kolay ulaşılabilir durum örnekleme ile belirlenmiştir. Araştırma verileri görüşme yöntemi ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Araştırma verileri içerik analizi yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda lisansüstü öğrencilerin bilimsel etiği bilimsel araştırmalarda izlenmesi gereken kurallar ve etik prensiplerin uygulanması olarak ifade ettikleri belirlenmiştir. Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimi lisansüstü öğrencilerin bilimsel araştırmalarda intihal, disiplinsiz (özensiz) araştırma ve dilimleme gibi etik olmayan davranışlarla karşılaştıkları ve bu davranışların nedenlerini eğitim ve donanım eksikliği ve araştırmacının tecrübe eksikliği olarak belirttikleri görülmüştür. Bilimde araştırma eğitimine ve öğretimine önem verilmesi gerektiği düşünüldüğünde genç bilim insanı adaylarına lisansüstü eğitimde bilimsel etik dersi verilmelidir.

Views Of Social Studies Postgraduate Students On Scientific Ethics

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to determine the views of Social Studies postgraduate students on scientific ethics. The study was conducted in accordance with the phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research designs. The sample group of the study was composed of 25 postgraduate students studying in the Department Social Sciences Education of Educational Sciences Institute, in Firat University in the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. The sample group was determined with convenience sampling, which is one of the purposeful sampling methods. The data of the study were obtained through interview method by using semi-structured interview form. The data of the study were analyzed with the content analysis method. As a result of the study, it was determined that the postgraduate students expressed scientific ethics as the rules to be followed in scientific researches and the implementation of ethical principles. It was seen that the Social Studies postgraduate students encountered with unethical behaviors such as plagiarism, undisciplined (careless) research and slicing in scientific researches and they stated that the reasons of these behaviors were lack of education and equipment and the researcher’s inexperience. When it is considered that it is required to attach importance to research education and teaching in science; it is suggested that young scientist candidates be given scientific ethics course in postgraduate education.
