Abstract:

Hashhaş and cannabis have been considered as plants that are in demand in different areas during the historic process. These plants are derived from the opium and cannabis, although they have been addressed to different areas, but in some areas they have common use. The first of these is that both plants, due to their drug properties, in the medical field, in addition to their pain relieving and therapeutic properties, are products used for pleasant purposes and are demanded. As in the ancient communities, the Ottoman society also has been used in secret purposes for pleasure, and on the one hand, the opium and scratch are the indispensable products of the health sector, on the other hand. The use of opium and spider for different purposes has made it possible for each purpose to form the supply and demand market. In this process in the Ottoman State, as the purpose of the use of opium and sperm in the health sector, starting from production, a market order that includes the marketing and sales processes has been made. For the purposes of combating it, it has been adopted. This study, which deals with the size of the drug supply, which is an important place in the Ottoman economic and social life, has the aim of evaluating the opium and sperm that is derived from the drug, in the framework of the Ottoman socio-economic structure.
