Abstract:

In this study; the practice of digital journalism in Turkey has been studied through the Ensonhaber, Hürriyet and Medyascope news sites and has been tried to determine the basic qualities of digital news environments. The aim of this study is to compare the practices of digital journalism by studying the content structure of the news sites, both the digital native and printed version of the newspaper in Turkey. In this context, the digital environment of Hürriyet, which is a printed newspaper with the digital-born Ensonhaber and Medyascope, has been studied. News sites’ ranking/income/traffic data were analyzed via Alexa.com; social media accounts and weekly news categories were analyzed using the content analysis method.

Bu çalışmada; Türkiye’deki dijital gazetecilik pratiği Ensonhaber, Hürriyet ve Medyascope haber siteleri üzerinden incelenmiş ve dijital haber ortamlarının temel nitelikleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’nin hem dijital doğumlu hem de basılı gazete versiyonu da bulunan haber sitelerinin içerik yapısın inceleyerek dijital gazetecilik pratiklerini karşılaştırmaktır. Bu kapsamda, dijital doğumlu olan Ensonhaber ve Medyascope ile birlikte basılı bir gazete olan Hürriyet’in dijital ortamı incelenmiştir. Haber sitelerinin sıralama/erişim/trafik verileri Alexa.com üzerinden; sosyal medya hesapları ve haftalık haber kategorileri ise içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir.
