Abstract:

In this study, which aims to evaluate the 2017 Social Information Course Teaching Program (SBDÖP) according to the teachers' opinions, which began to be applied in the first and second schools from the 2017-2018 academic year, a mixed model consisting of the general scan model and the quality research model has been used. The universe of research is formed by 164 teachers of social information who worked in the 2018-2019 academic year in the center of Aksaray and districts, while the sample is made by 85 teachers of social information selected by random sample from this universe. The research has also used a semi-configured interview form designed to reveal the views of teachers on the perspective, approach, vision and general objectives of the 2017 SBDÖP, skills training, value education, concept teaching, measurement and evaluation, learning fields, units and gains, relationships and gains table sizes, and a semi-configured interview form designed to reveal the positive and strong and weak aspects of the program and the recommendations for changes related to the program. According to the research, social information teachers who work in the Aksaray province have achieved that their approach to the 2017 SBDÖP is generally positive, that the achievements are reduced, the program is the most positive and strong, and that the time for achievements is insufficient, the program is the weakest and weakest aspect. The most frequently expressed suggestion regarding the program was the increase in the amount of weekly lessons dedicated to social information classes. The result of the research is the attempt to increase the rates of adequate viewing and adoption of the teaching program by teachers, the data obtained from the implementation process for this, the research results carried out in relation to the subject and the recommendations of the teachers to change the program update the teachers’ teaching program recognition and application skills development training activities are recommended.
