Abstract:

In social life, it is seen that the interests of individuals and groups conflict in accessing and using resources from time to time.. Individuals who are disturbed by inequalities can come together from time to time and take organized action against discontent. These organized movements are called social movements and they aim to alleviate discontent. Various movements originating from discontent have been encountered in various periods in history and in various societies. However, as a phenomenon, social movements are the product of the modern period. In the modern period, social movements originated from economic inequalities and emerged on a class basis. However, social movements have also changed over time, and movements known as new social movements have emerged. Globalization, which started at the end of the 20th century and explained a process of great change and transformation, also led to a social movement with its large discontent. The aim of this study is to make a theoretical analysis of the factors causing the anti-globalization movement, the characteristics of the movement and the causes that bring it to an end.
