Abstract:

Hamilelik planlı ya da plansız olması fark etmeksizin çiftler için hem heyecanlı hem de birçok stresi barındıran yeni bir geçiş dönemidir. Bu dönem içerisinde anne ve baba adayları psikolojik ve fizyolojik açıdan ortaya çıkan karmaşık duygular nedeniyle baş etme becerilerini aktif olarak kullanamamaktadır. Dünyada ve Türkiye’de hamilelik döneminde ve sonrasında ortaya çıkan sorunlar her geçen gün artmaktadır. Perinatal sosyal hizmet uygulamasıyla planlı ve sağlıklı gebelik sürecinin oluşturulması, gebelik döneminde yaşanan bireysel, ailevi ve toplumsal sorunların çözülmesi ve doğum sonrasında ortaya çıkabilecek psikososyal risklerin azaltılması mümkün olabilir. Perinatal kayıp, adölesan gebelik, postpartum depresyon, prenatal bağlanma gibi birçok faklı risk durumu ailenin endişe ve stres yaşamasına neden olabilmektedir. Bu süreç içerisinde ailenin profesyonel olarak desteklenmesi ve bilgilendirilmesi sürecin sağlıklı bir şekilde yönetilmesinde önem arz etmektedir. Bu anlamda gebelik dönemi ve sonrasında anne ve bebeğin iyilik halinin sağlanması için sosyal hizmet müdahalesi gerçekleştirilmesine ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu çalışmada hamilelik öncesinden başlayarak bebek bir yaşına gelene kadar geçen süreçte aileye, çevresine ve topluma yönelik psikolojik ve sosyal destek sağlayan perinatal sosyal hizmetin tanıtılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada perinatal sosyal hizmet uygulaması bağlamında perinatal kayıp, adölesan gebelikle mücadele, annenin madde kullanımı ve bağımlılıkla mücadele, prenatal bağlanma, postpartum depresyon, paternal postnatal depresyon gibi konular etrafında perinatal sosyal hizmetin tanıtımına yer verilmiştir.

Pregnancy is a new transition period for couples, whether planned or unplanned, both exciting and containing a lot of stress. During this period, parents and candidates are unable to actively use their ability to cope with complicated emotions arising from a psychological and physiological point of view. In the world and in Turkey, the problems arising during and after pregnancy are increasing every day. It can be possible to create a planned and healthy pregnancy process with the application of perinatal social services, to solve individual, family and social problems during pregnancy and to reduce psychosocial risks that may arise after childbirth. Many poor risk conditions such as perinatal loss, pregnancy, postpartum depression, prenatal connectivity can cause family to experience anxiety and stress. In this process, the professional support and information of the family is important in managing the process in a healthy way. In this sense, the intervention of social services is necessary to ensure the well-being of the mother and baby during the pregnancy period and after that. This study aims to promote perinatal social service that provides psychological and social support to the family, the environment and society in the process from pregnancy to the baby’s age one. The study included the promotion of perinatal social service around topics such as perinatal loss in the context of the application of perinatal social service, the fight against pregnancy, the mother's drug use and the fight against addiction, prenatal connectivity, postpartum depression, paternal postnatal depression.

Regardless of whether pregnancy is planned or unplanned, it is a new transition period that is both exciting and stressful for couples. During this period, mother and father candidates cannot actively use their coping skills due to the complex emotions that arise in psychological and physiological terms. The problems that occur during and after pregnancy in the world and in Turkey are increasing day by day. It may be possible to establish a planned and healthy pregnancy process, to solve individual, family and social problems experienced during pregnancy and to reduce the psychosocial risks that may occur after birth with the perinatal social work practice. Many different risk situations such as perinatal loss, adolescent pregnancy, postpartum depression, prenatal attachment can cause the family to experience anxiety and stress. In this process, it is important to support and inform the family professionally in the healthy managemant of the process. In this sense, there is a need for social work intervention to ensure the well-being of mother and baby during and after pregnancy. In this study, it is aimed to introduce the perinatal social work, which provides psychological and social support to the family, its environment and the society in the period from pre-pregnancy until the baby reaches one year old. In the study, the introduction of perinatal social work was included in the context of perinatal social work practice, around topics such as perinatal loss, struggle with adolescent pregnancy, maternal substance use and addiction, prenatal attachment, postpartum depression, paternal postnatal depression
