Abstract:

With the implementation of the FATIH project, adaptation of technological developments to education has gained importance. The aim of this research is to study the impact of the self-qualification perceptions of the candidate teachers studying at a state university in Turkey on the technology acceptance of touchscreen smart devices and the social environmental impact. Based on previous research, five variable models have been created. Through the Advanced Technology Admission Model scale, data from 322 candidate teachers has been collected. Structural equality modeling has been used to reveal the necessary relationships. The data-model compatibility has come to an acceptable level and the YEM results are in the form of "X2/df < 3, RMSEA = 0.06, RMR = 0.07, CFI = 0.96, NFI = 0.92, GFI = 0.92, AGFI = 0.89". Perceived utility and perceived usability are the determinants of a meaningful level of technological behavioral intention. In addition, social impact and self-capability perceptions have been found to have a positive and direct impact on the perceived usability and ease of use.
