Bu araştırmanın amacı Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimde tarih konuları ile ilgili yapılan tezleri yöntemsel ve tematik açıdan incelemektir. Araştırma kapsamına alınan tezlere YÖK tez tarama merkezinin veri tabanından ulaşılmıştır. Bu çerçevede, 2021 yılının ilk yarısına kadar olan Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimde tarih konuları ile ilgili yapılan tezler incelenmiştir. Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimde tarih konuları ile ilgili yapılan tezlerde “Sosyal Bilgiler”, “Tarihsel empati”, “Tarihi şahsiyetler”, “Sözlü tarih”, “Tarihi mekanlar” “Tarihi konular”, “Yerel tarih” ve “Tarihsel kavramlar” anahtar kelimeleri ile arama yapılmıştır. Bunun sonucunda 108 yüksek lisans tezi ve 13 doktora tezi olmak üzere toplam 121 adet teze ulaşılmıştır. Bu tezler tezlerin türü, yayımlandığı yıl, araştırmacının cinsiyeti, tezlerin yapıldığı üniversite, araştırmanın yöntemi ve deseni, örneklem grubu ve büyüklüğü, veri toplama aracı, tezlerdeki konular ve yapılan analizler vs. açısından incelenmiştir. Yapılan inceleme neticesinde Sosyal Bilgiler eğitimde tarih konuları ile ilgili yapılan tezler içerisinde en fazla tarih konuları, yerel tarih ve sözlü tarih konularına ağırlık verildiği görülmüştür. Bunun yanı sıra, tezlerde genel olarak nitel yöntemin kullanıldığı ve tarama modelin tercih edildiği, en çok görüşme formunun veri toplama aracı olarak kullanıldığı, kullanılan analizler içerisinde nitel analizlerin başı çektiği, örneklem grubu olarak en fazla ortaokul öğrencileri ve öğretmenlerin tercih edildiği ve daha çok küçük örneklem grupları kullanıldığı tespit edilmiştir.
The purpose of this research is to study the theses made in relation to historical subjects in Social Information Education from a methodological and thematic point of view. The theses taken into the scope of the research were obtained from the data base of the YÖK thesis scan center. In this framework, the theses made on the subjects of history in the Social Information Education, which is until the first half of 2021, have been studied. In the theses related to the subjects of history in social information education, the search was made with the keywords "Social Information", "Historical Empathy", "Historical Persons", "Historical History", "Historical Places", "Historical Themes", "Local History" and "Historical Concepts". As a result, a total of 121 theses, including 108 master theses and 13 doctoral theses, were achieved. These theses are studied in terms of the type of the theses, the year in which they were published, the sex of the researcher, the university in which the theses were made, the method and design of the research, the sample group and size, the data collection tool, the subjects in the theses and the analyses made, etc. According to the study, in the social information education, the theses related to history subjects have most emphasis on local history and verbal history subjects. In addition, the theses have found that the method of qualification is used in general and the scan model is preferred, the most interview form is used as a data collection tool, the analysis of qualification is taken over in the analyses used, the most high school students and teachers are preferred as a sample group, and the smaller sample groups are used.
