Abstract:

This study was conducted in order to determine, from the perspectives of physical education teach- ers, whether the applicability level of 6th classes primary physical education teaching program’s, which went into effect and was implemented in 2006, is differentiated regarding gender, seniority, average classroom size, and participation into in-service education according to dimensions of its general aims, acquisitions, instruction-learn- ing process and measurement and evaluation dimensions. The research has been implemented using descriptive survey model. Thus, as data collection tool has been composed of questionnaire form consisting of 39 questions to determine primary physical education teaching program’s (6th class) applicability level. The questionnaire has been composed of 4 sub-dimensions (program general and general purposes, acquisitions, instruction-learning process and measurement-evaluation). After calculation of validity and reliability, developed data collection tool has been done on the internet working with e mail method and only physical education teachers’ can become member of [email protected] registered address in the form of electronic question- naire application (October 2007). In evaluation has been taken incoming answers from 47 province total 175 physical education teachers. In this study, it is determined that physical education teachers “partly” agree that ap- plicability level of 6th classes primary physical education teaching program’s suitable for the sub-dimensions of “general aims” and “acquisitions” and that the teachers found that applicability level is “low” for the sub-dimen- sions of “teaching-learning process” and “measurement and evaluation dimensions.” There is no significantly difference for physical education teachers’ applicability levels of the primary physical education curricula’s (6th grade) for the dimensions of general aims, acquisitions, teaching-learning process and measurement and evalua- tion dimensions when investigated regarding the characteristics of “gender, seniority, average classroom size, and participation into in-service education”
