Proje Tabanlı Öğretimin Fen Laboratuvarı Dersinde Kullanımının Sınıf Öğretmeni Adaylarının Görüşlerine Göre Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı, “Proje Tabanlı Öğretim (PTÖ)” uygulamalarının fen laboratuvarı dersine etkisinin sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının görüşlerine göre değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması kullanılarak 36 öğretmen adayına fen ve teknoloji laboratuvar uygulamaları II dersi kapsamında proje tabanlı öğretim etkinlikleri uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Fen Bilimleri Laboratuvar Uygulamalarına Yönelik Görüşme Formu” kullanılmıştır. Görüşme formu öğrencilere uygulamadan önce ve uygulamadan sonra olmak üzere iki kez uygulanmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen nitel verilerin analizinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının görüşlerine göre, PTÖ yöntemi sayesinde fen laboratuvar uygulamalarının zenginleştiği ve öğretmen adaylarının proje yapım aşamalarını öğrendikleri belirtilmiştir. Bu sonuca bağlı olarak, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının fen ve teknoloji laboratuvar uygulamaları lisans dersleri haricinde diğer fen bilimleri ya da öğretimi ile ilgili dersleri proje tabanlı öğretim yaklaşımı ile plânlanabilir.

This study is to aim that evaluating of the project-based instruction (PBI) activities effects on science laboratory course depending on the pre-service classroom teachers' opinions. This study was designed with the case study and 36 pre-service classroom teachers participated. The data was collected via "interview form towards science laboratory applications" Interviews were carried out two times before and after instruction. Qualitative data was analyzed by content analysis. Findings indicated that depending on pre-service classroom teachers' opinions PBI teaching method enriched science laboratory activities and increased their science laboratory attitudes and self-efficacy beliefs. Thro the process, pre-service teachers learned how the project-based instruction process was conducted and their teaching strategies. Depending on these results, the science-teaching process apart from science laboratory activities can be enriched by the PBI method.
