Abstract:

The study aims to study the academic delay behavior of teachers candidates according to different variables. It is believed that the identification of factors related to academic delay situations may help teachers better understand these problems and produce solutions suggestions. Research is an imaginary study in the screening model. The universe of research is formed by teachers candidates who study at the Faculty of Education of the Republic University. The example is that in the 2017-2018 educational year, the Faculty of Science, Turkish, Social Information and Class Teaching educational fields, 263 teachers are nominated to study in the respective faculty. The "Academic Delay Measure" has been used in order to determine the academic delay behavior of teachers candidates. In the analysis of the data obtained, one-way ANOVA analysis with frequency, average and standard deviation values was used. The results of the analyses found that the academic delay points of the teacher candidates were above the average, and that the knowledge of the teacher candidates and the social information of the teacher candidates were significantly different, as well as that there was a significant difference between the academic delay points of the teacher candidates by gender. The results have been found that there is no meaningful difference between the success points of the teacher candidates and the place where they reside (along with their family, home or pension, home) and the academic delay points.
