Abstract:

This research aims to study the mathematical process skills, teaching approaches and measurement-evaluation approaches of the 2005 mathematical course teaching programs, according to the views of primary school mathematics teachers. For this purpose, the research method has been used. In determining the work group, the measurement sample method was used from the purposes of sample methods. The study was attended by 24 primary mathematics teachers working in Ankara. In this context, semi-configured interviews with teachers were conducted through a form of conversation designed by taking expert opinions. The data was analyzed using the NVivo 10 Quality Analysis Program. As a result of the study, mathematics teachers have found that students have insufficient skills to associate mathematics with everyday life, to run mind and to solve problems. The teachers of mathematics also have crowded classes in the processes of applying their teaching approaches, time, the intensity of the program, preparation for high school exam, etc. The problems they encounter.
