Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı, bireylerin klasik masaja yönelik tutumlarını ölçmeyi amaçlayan bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan 51 maddelik madde havuzu, masaj alanında uzman kişilere sunulmuştur. Uzmanlar tarafından yapılan değerlendirmeler sonrasında taslak ölçekte yer alan 18 madde kapsam dışı bırakılmış, böylece taslak ölçek 33 maddeden meydana gelmiştir. Taslak ölçeğe açımlayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmış, elde edilen yapı doğrulayıcı faktör analizi doğrulanmıştır. Doğrulanan yapıya test tekrar test yöntemi ve iç tutarlılık analizi uygulanmıştır. Taslak ölçeğe uygulanan açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucunda 4 faktör ve 24 maddeden oluşan bir ölçme yapısı elde edilmiştir. Bu yapı doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile test edilmiş ve nihai ölçek 4 faktörlü, 20 maddelik yapıya dönüşmüştür. Bulgular: Mevcut çalışmaya toplamda 717 kişi (362 erkek, 355 kadın) katılım göstermiştir. Ölçeğin güvenirliği, test tekrar test yöntemi ve iç tutarlılık analizi ile incelenmiştir. Analizler, ölçeğin kararlılık katsayısının 0,858 Cronbach Alpha iç tutarlılık katsayısının ise 0,868 olduğunu göstermiştir. Sonuç: Mevcut ölçeğin, kapsam ve yapı geçerliğine bakımından güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu belirlenmiştir.
Objectives: The aim of the study is to develop a scale that aims to measure the attitudes of individuals towards classical massage. Materials and Methods: The 51-item item pool created by the researcher was presented to experts in the field of massage. After the evaluations made by the experts, 18 items in the draft scale were excluded, so the draft scale consisted of 33 items. Exploratory factor analysis was applied to the draft scale, and the construct confirmatory factor analysis was confirmed. Test-retest method and internal consistency analysis were applied to the validated construct. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis applied to the draft scale, a measurement structure consisting of 4 factors and 24 items was obtained. This structure was tested with confirmatory factor analysis and the final scale turned into a 4-factor, 20-item structure. Results: A total of 717 people (362 men, 355 women) participated in the current study. The reliability of the scale was examined by test-retest method and internal consistency analysis. Analysis showed that the stability coefficient of the scale was 0.858; Cronbach Alpha showed that the internal consistency coefficient was 0.868. Conclusion: It has been determined that the current scale is a reliable measurement tool in terms of content and construct validity.
